    SURVIVOR
My cancer cells were dividing rapidly, and treatment needed to begin right away.
I was blessed with a referral to one of the area’s best oncologists, Dr. Robert Ellis at Oncology Hematology Associates (OHA). He provided my family and I with clear and honest education and counseling regarding the monster we were getting ready to battle – all while maintaining the sensitivity of a friend. We developed an instant sense of trust. Dr. Ellis was there for me every step of the way, and I never once felt alone. I entrusted Dr. Ellis and the staff at OHA with my life, and because of them I am healthy today, cancer-free for nearly one year and counting!
Cancer is frightening but it doesn’t have to break us. My life after cancer is richer than ever. Both my faith and relationships are stronger, and I have made many beautiful friendships across my journey. My experience has allowed me to become a better version of ME, and I have the exceptional staff at OHA to thank for helping me become a cancer SURVIVOR.
